the thirteenth.

Human beings are funny things, aren't they? They can be responsible for so much misery in the world, but at the same time, they can work so well together to change it for the better.

Oh, what I've seen in the past few days...

Ugly, terrible truths have come to light. But I have also observed teamwork, forgiveness, selflessness; so many good qualities and actions. It really is peculiar how such things can co-exist in one species. Maybe there is hope for them yet.

Why can't I stop smiling?

Humans truly are a unique species in that respect.

You're talking about humans as if you're not one of them. I'd be willing to bet you're more human than I am.

...It's not exactly my place to say, but you really should smile more.

Nobody seems to understand the use of a theoretical "them". And hold onto your money. You shouldn't bet on things you know absolutely nothing about.

I find there is little point in smiling if the occasion does not call for it.

If people have even the slightest suspicion, it only raises them no matter what context you meant it in. Absolutely nothing? I beg to differ.

Whatever suits you then.

Is that so? Most would argue that it would lower suspicion, because after all, if I was hiding something, why would I make a slip like that?

You know the bare minimum. That's all. Hardly enough to even make educated guesses.
