the twenty-fifth.

Looking back at what happened, I am thankful that my... Shadow was recognized as an anomaly and ignored. Such a thing could not have truly been a reflection of myself, for it spoke nonsense and little else, and showed nothing of who I am. No, they were quite right to leave me be. After all, what would a false Shadow have done to protect itself? It's impossible to guess.

I am honestly grateful that they didn't try to interfere. And I am grateful to Nena and Michael for dealing with it quietly and efficiently.

...ah, there was something else. What was it? Oh, that's right.

Karen Minazuki. A word, please.

So it was a Shadow of sorts, huh? Just glad to see you doing okay.

I don't know what else to call it. Nothing like that has ever happened to me before, and there were no unusual factors present apart from the fog.

Of course, it certainly differed from the others, but it's possible that there's a reason for that, too.

It's as good a name as any.

It looks like each Shadow thing was tailored to that specific person.

That isn't what I meant by different. You say that they were tailored to specific people, and that was visible: they were the so-called true selves, the hidden depths of that person. "Mine" was different in that it wasn't. It had nothing to do with who I am.

[identity profile] jagan-glare.livejournal.com 2010-02-04 04:35 am (UTC)(link)
But it can still be tailored to you - do you think it might've had anything to do with what you do, perhaps?

I doubt it. There's always going to be one exception to a pattern; whatever that thing was, that was it.

Heh. Then you are one special snowflake, Tieria.

An' like I said before, just glad to see you back to your normal self.
