It had seemed normal enough to start with, like any two people having a private conversation away from the others. The sound of Tieria's low voice and Nena's girlish giggles could be heard through the door, but not what was being said.
But after a few long minutes and eventually, a lot of very peculiar noises (had that been a yelp?), there was only silence in the next room.
