Tieria was putting the finishing touches to his makeshift disguise while waiting for the others to arrive. He had found some baggier clothes that belonged to Mikaela that managed to fit him, and he had managed to scrape his hair back into pigtails.

He didn't currently make the most fashionable girl, but it was enough. After all, despite what other people said, he still found his appearance rather male, and the last thing he wanted to do was draw attention to himself by obviously being a man shopping for girls' clothes.

He decided to give make-up a miss for now, however. He didn't trust himself not to make a complete mess of it.

"This is ridiculous," he sighed, looking at himself in the mirror.

"If you need help fixing your appearance now, you know how to ask for it."

Motoko stood leaning against the door frame, with a little smile on her face.

Nena started snickering as soon as she entered and caught sight of him. "Pretty much!" she managed to force out between giggles.

Oh, boy. Minako decided on scratching the back of her head and laughing a little. They had a lot of work to do if Tieria was going to successfully pass himself off as a girl.

Haruhi bounded into the room, looking like Christmas had just come again, and skipped over to Tieria and half sat in his lap to give him a hug.

"I'll make you look awesome even if you look dumb now."

She then started to try and make his pigtails look better.

Cuddy had showed up with her baby in a baby carrier, Rachel gurgling happily as Cuddy carried her into the house. She smiled when she saw Tieria, gingerly placing the carrier on the floor.

"The wallet is here."

...wow. Arriving at the last minute (courtesy of Cinnamon), Karen's feelings about Tieria's appearance were much the same as everyone else's. Surely he'd actually seen a girl before? Had an idea of what they looked like?

"I know that I look terrible. That's why I asked for you all to help," Tieria said, scowling. He half-heartedly hugged Haruhi back (this hugging business was still very new to him), and allowed her to fiddle with his hair.

"And you were right to ask for it," she replied, looking amused now before addressing the group at large. "Once Haruhi is done fixing his hair, we can get to work."

"You need more makeup, for one thing!" Nena declared. "Your skin's really pasty, you know that?"

"And you need jewelery! We might have to get your ears pierced, but it'll be worth it," she said with a smile. This was going to be the best shopping trip ever. Or the most awkward, whichever one fit better at the end of the day.

After grinning at the hug, Haruhi went about trying to fix up his hair, fussing with his pigtails. "They're just not you!" She declared after awhile. She yanked them out and instead leaned over to pull up the hair on the top of his head into a ponytail. "There! Much better!"

"It emphasizes his cheek bones," Cuddy interjected, moving towards Tieria with a small smile on her face before she knelt in front of him. She undid the ponytail, and pushed his hair behind his ears first before she figured out what to do.

"His skin is too good to ruin with makeup, he doesn't need it." Her fingers rest on his earlobes, "No need to pierce his ears."

She looked pensive for a moment, before she decided on giving Tieria a half tail with loose bangs.

"There."

"Perfect," Karen said upon seeing the results. "Now we just need to find you something to wear." She paused. "And maybe some contacts..."

"No contacts," snapped Tieria. "Nothing can touch my eyes." He took off his glasses. "I don't..."

He cleared his throat, and blinked. "I don't need these."

All the attention was a little overwhelming - he was starting to get embarassed. "Can we get on, please?"

While the others had been in discussion, Motoko had slipped off to get Tieria's wheelchair and returned as their chat had turned to his glasses. Wheeling it up near him, she rested on the handles to keep it steady.

"Ready when you are."

Nena made a face. "What's wrong with you that you need a wheelchair? You can't still be hurt."

A wheelchair?! Wheelchairs meant injuries and injuries meant fights and with all that had been going on in her life (exams, training, sneaking out from home, the usual), she hadn't heard of his recent exploits. This demanded an explanation. "Tieria-san, tell me right now why you're in a wheelchair!" she shouted, finger waving in his face.

Haruhi gave Minako a look, "Because he was injured, dummy. Why else are people in wheelchairs unless they really into hurt/comfort." She turned back to Tieria and gave him a pout. "Put those glasses back on!" They add to the girl next door factor!"

Cuddy found herself just staring at other women. She pondered for a moment, before said, in her medical opinion.

"In order for Tieria to get better, he has to walk. We can keep the wheelchair on standby, but it's best if he walks. If he doesn't want contacts and if he doesn't want to keep the glasses on, that's his wish. Crowding over him won't help the situation and neither will yelling."

"With all of us here, he should be fine walking, right? We can help him if he has trouble." Then Karen gave Haruhi a look. "Hurt comfort?"

Tieria fell silent, clearly uncomfortable with the direction the conversation was starting to go in. After all, he could stumble for a few meters, but it took all the energy and willpower he could muster. There was no way he'd be able to stand for that length of time, never mind walk.

Upon the mention of getting him to walk, Motoko had started chewing on her thumb with narrowed eyes. He wouldn't be able to walk around all day, she hadn't even been able to find the exact means of fixing that problem in particular. It was something that had gnawed away at her to the day. Before speaking, her eyes flickered over to Tieria.

"All of you calm down," she said. "And with all due respect, Doctor Cuddy, he'd need crutches or something similar in order to walk on his own as he can barely stand for extended periods of time. I may not be a doctor, but I have been here for a while."

"You didn't answer me," Nena said, crossing her arms. She was fairly sure that any normal injury wouldn't have put him out of commission for nearly this long. "What's wrong with you?"

She pouted in Haruhi's direction. "Well, I know that! ...Maybe not the hurt/comfort part. Why would--never mind." Minako mimicked Nena's stance. "Tell!"

"Yes,hurt/comfort! It's a suprisingly popular fetish, especially in shoujo manga. And you guys are making way too big of deal out of this! If he falls over we'll just prop him back up or drag him around!"
